Is AI Your Friend or Foe?
Generally, OD/HR professionals do not have time to create their own processes and tools for introducing and harnessing AI in organizations, but they need to be conversant and knowledgeable about the technology and the leadership role they can play in its evolution.
Why?
-
AI is already embedded in much of our worklife, either explicitly or implicitly. Being afraid of it isn’t an option now.
-
There are some easy and fun ways to use basic AI to do almost anything you can think of.
-
AI is changing everything about the human resources function and the nature of work, in some very positive ways and some controversial ways.
-
There is opportunity -- and perhaps an obligation -- to take a leadership role as the AI tsunami sweeps away an old world and creates a new one. And you don’t have to go it alone.
The intent of this presentation is to help participants become more aware of what artificial intelligence (AI) can do, gain insight into how AI is likely to impact the nature of work, and consider the potential roles and responsibilities that the OD profession may need to embrace. We will introduce the work and resources of an emerging consultancy called the Center for Collaborative Intelligence created to assist organizations in considering how to best use AI in their organizations.
In their presentation, Matt and Debbie will help you better understand the importance of redesigning intelligent organizations. As a result, you will be able to answer these questions:
- What is AI? What are the stages of evolution we’ll soon see in the capability of AI?
- What are some easy ways to get started using AI?
- What will AI mean for our field and the nature of our work?
