In this workshop, we will explore the transformative power of fostering a Culture of Growth within organizations, focusing on its profound impact on the employee experience and institutional success. Grounded in research and practical insights, the session begins by unpacking the core principles of growth mindset theory—emphasizing that intelligence and abilities are not fixed but can be developed through effort, perseverance, and effective strategies. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how their organization’s policies and norms often inadvertently perpetuate fixed mindset beliefs and how this can hinder organizational performance.
The workshop will offer actionable strategies for embedding growth mindset principles into your everyday practice as a culture creator. We’ll discuss the pivotal role of culture creators in modeling growth minded behaviors and fostering an environment where organizational learning is valued and prioritized, and discuss how investing in creating a Culture of Growth lead to stronger collaboration, innovation, risk taking and resilience, integrity and ethics, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Finally, the session will focus on the long-term benefits of cultivating a Culture of Growth, including increased engagement, motivation, and adaptability among employees, from individual contributors to executive leaders. Drawing on case studies and success stories, attendees will leave inspired and equipped with tools to initiate change within their own organizations.

Eliot Johnson is an award-winning management consultant and facilitator, with over ten years of experience in leading strategic business operations and culture initiatives, developing cross-functional teams, and providing analytical support for operational and strategic decisions. As the Director of Technical Assistance and Consulting at the Equity Accelerator, Eliot and his team are responsible for the design, development, and execution of EA’s consulting approach, tools and products, and projects. Prior to joining EA, Eliot spent 10 years as a management consultant for a variety of different organizations including federal and state governments, associations, and for-profit companies. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, organizational culture transformation, and leadership development. In his work, Mr. Johnson utilizes a human-centered, growth-minded approach that helps his clients understand and capitalize on the value of deeply understanding their customer’s perspectives. Eliot has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
