Leader as Coach - Now more than ever
Most of us were taught that being a leader equated with mastering all aspect of the work. Your job was to have the right answer. This leadership model was command and control - you set expectations, told people what to do, and then, assessed their performance. Do the technical aspect of the job well, and you were rewarded with recognition and a promotion to positions of greater responsibility. This model still prevails but is being challenged by a new way of leading, leader as coach, that is more effective and less exhausting.
In this session, Bob Stapleton, a certified life and leadership coach, will identify the key attributes of what it means to lead by coaching. We will wrestle with:
