Leadership SIG - Truth Telling - Speaking Truth to Leaders

The month, our Leadership SIG guest facilitator will be Miriam Shuman, who will lead a conversation on Truth Telling - Speaking Truth to Leadership.

Truth Telling is the capacity to create the conditions in which we can challenge, give feedback and difficult reflection to clients in ways that ignite their potential, as opposed to causing fragmentation.

• Exponential growth only occurs when clients get outside of their comfort zone.
• Guiding clients to see the consequence of staying where they are, their motivations and their stories of non-possibility and the part of themselves that they are aligning with and, instead, get them connected to the part of themselves that wants to evolve, giving them feedback outside of their self-image.
• As coaches and facilitators, our own motivation fundamentally needs to create a trustworthy field to genuinely serve clients and tell the truth about what we see, sense, feel, and know beyond the fear that they won’t like us--if we tell the truth.
• Being willing and able to receive feedback, to be challenged without fragmenting or without personalizing it, but actually allowing ourselves to take it in and be strengthened by it is going to have us develop the humility to exemplify the SuperPower of Truth Telling with our clients.
