Adventures in Facilitation: What's Hot and Happening?

In this session, we will explore and share advances in collaborative team facilitation – the theory and practice.

  • Is it true that brainstorming doesn’t work?
  • How is technology being used to help cross-functional/cross-geographical collaboration?
  • Is it possible for entire organizations to adopt collaboration as an operating system instead of hierarchy?
  • Is there a maturity model for an organization’s capability to do collaborative problem-solving?
Let’s share what we know about the frontiers of working together.

Debbie Morris has been facilitating all kinds of groups, for all kinds of reasons, since 1985.  She has been studying what’s new in the practice this year. She’ll share her findings as a springboard for discussing what we’re learning from our own experiences as well.

For more information, contact SIG leaders, Vickie Bevenour  or Mary Charles Blakebrough (919-493-5424).
