Consider your next conversation and ask yourself: what is your intention for how you’d like it to unfold? Whether the conversation is with an employee or a room full of people, this is a question every leader should ask themselves. However, all too often, we navigate through life much like a branch drifting downstream. The branch can do nothing but follow the current, just as, in life, we too often allow circumstances to drive our actions, leading to unintended outcomes. Leading with intention means using the power of words and actions to shape the world according to your will.
As OD practitioners and coaches, we must apply this same discipline in our professional lives, showing up with intention. In this SIG, we will explore how to create a cadence of intentionality in our lives, starting with our personal circumstances. For most of us, this is not first nature, so it can be challenging to do.
In the context of leadership, this behavior may be the most important factor in a leader’s effectiveness.
Join us for an engaging one-hour conversation.
