Greeting Leadership SIG Members,
I believe that examples of the best and worst of leadership is demonstrated by the legislative, executive and judicial branches of the US Government. Given what has happened over the summer, I couldn't resist turning to this topic once again. (For this who remember, back during the 2016 elections, I led a similar conversation on what makes Donald Trump a good leader. Many of our members were not happy with me.)
Come prepared to discuss what lessons can be taken away from the actions or inaction of our elected and judicial leaders.
Potential areas we can discuss:
John Robert's response to the lack of trust of the Supreme Court by a majority of Americans.
Actions of legislators, the President and Vice President immediately following the June 27th debate.
Actions of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris since Biden withdrew his candidacy.
This is an apolitical conversation to the extent that the topic allows. Leave your candidate pins off, and hide your lawn signs.
One last thing - this is the last 'complimentary' (free) leadership SIG for non-TODN members. Please consider becoming a member of TODN today. With our conference this October you get a twofer - a free SIG and a reduced registration fee for the conference.
Enjoy what remains of the summer,
Bob Stapleton
