Program Overview:

We’re all familiar with the labels being generated around the world of employment and work these days: “The Great Resignation”, “The Great Reshuffle”, “The Great Retirement”, “The Great Reevaluation”. Many of us are beginning to hear even sharper statements, “The Great Disengagement”, “The Great Rebellion”, “The Great Opt-out”. One thing is certain, things are rapidly shifting.

As organizational and personal development professionals, we use sociological and other lenses to interpret what’s going on, and psychological models to assess individuals and groups in relation to change. But ongoing events like COVID or climate change which are completely outside of our control do not fit easily into our lenses and models.

In this program, we will step back, slow down and discuss our personal and professional experience of this extraordinary time we are in.

As small groups in breakout rooms, we will reflect on these questions:

First Breakout – Personal Experience

What has shifted for you?

How have you disengaged or stayed engaged?

What personal opportunities have opened up for you?

Second Breakout – Professional Opportunity

What pitfalls and opportunities do you see for our professional community and the organizations we serve?

To encourage active participation, this program will be lightly facilitated and will not be recorded. We may generate anonymized notes for use by TODN in determining future program topics.

Please join us. We very much hope you do.
