Organization Design: What’s all the Fuss?

Please join Lynn Duffy and Cindy Baudoin for an engaging conversation on organization design.  Guiding a leader through a significant organization design project with the goal of building new capabilities may be some of the most important and complex work that an OD/ human resource professional can undertake. It requires a deep, trusting relationship with the client, knowledge of the business, and an ability to bring broad HR domain expertise undefined talent, organization, change, learning, compensation and project management undefined to the initiative.  In this program you will learn:

  • How to identify and use your talent capability to design and align your strategy, structure and people to maximize business results,
  • Overview of approach and models for implementing organizational redesign,
  • Lessons learned about the philosophy and process of generating executive support and commitment for capability building, and
  • The criticality of building strong sponsorship, the importance of strategic alignment, and a rigorous approach to organization design to impact business outcomes.

Lynn Duffy is an Executive Coach, Consultant and Facilitator who works with executives and teams to achieve their objectives and sustain growth. Recognized as a leader in innovative and proven approaches to leadership and team development, Lynn brings extensive industry experience in global financial services, healthcare, and consulting. She understands the realities in which clients operate, having held senior human resources and operations leadership roles for over 20 years.

Lynn uses her experience with clients to create practical change strategies and drive leader and organizational effectiveness. She has designed and implemented talent management systems and initiatives including Executive Assessment, Succession Planning, Leadership Development, High Potential Programs and Team Effectiveness.  Lynn works with clients to promote self -awareness, facilitate forward action and increase leadership impact.  Clients appreciate her insightful and direct style.


Cindy Baudoin is currently Senior Director, Organization Effectiveness and People Enablement at Red Hat, the world’s leader in open source software.  In this new (to Red Hat) role, she is focused on providing organization design consulting as well as building overall capabilities for a world-class human resources team.

Cindy has over 25 years of experience in talent management, organization and leadership development including holding senior leadership roles at Genpact, a global leader in business process and technology management, and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).   Cindy brings great global perspective to her work through having led teams in India, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil and Colombia.  She’s also had the good fortune to have lived and worked outside the US through an expatriate assignment in Dresden, Germany while working with AMD.

Cindy holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development Leadership from the University of Texas in Austin, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Management from Texas A&M, and the SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification.
