Tina Louise Vasquez is a dynamic strategist, institution builder, and advocate for equity integration. With over 18 years of experience, Tina has dedicated her career to empowering organizations and individuals to implement sustainable, equitable practices across diverse sectors and systems.
As the Founder and CEO of Emerging Equity, LLC, Tina leads efforts to foster innovative culture change. Since its inception in 2022, the company has achieved key milestones, including launching a fellowship program for Northeast food systems leaders in partnership with Community Food Funders and a capacity-building initiative for organizations focused on children’s social-emotional health in collaboration with the John Rex Endowment. Tina is also spearheading an international consulting project to support diasporic people’s quest for sovereignty in the Global South.
In previous roles, Tina has led statewide and international initiatives, including equity training for 50+ partners within Blueprint North Carolina and strategic partnerships with philanthropic organizations like the Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders.
Her expertise extends to roles in education and the arts, having worked with organizations such as Pathways to Leadership and The Leadership Program. Tina also co-founded the Arts-Education Exchange: Cuba, bridging cultural and educational exchanges between U.S. and Cuban artists, educators and activists.
Academically, Tina earned an M.S. in Organizational Behavior Systems and Analytics from NYU Polytechnic, graduating with a Merit Scholarship, and a B.A. in Individualized Study from NYU Gallatin, where she was a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Scholar. She is also trained by The People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond in Undoing Racism and holds a Certificate in Movement Analysis from the Laban/Bartenieff Institute.
