Mary Charles Blakebrough, MS/OD, is now a BODY CODE® Certified Practitioner and DESIGNING YOUR LIFE® Certified Coach. She is excited about starting her McBreakthrough BODY CODE practice, as she is passionate about the changes which can occur when one releases the imbalances in one's body due to stress/pain or blocks to achieving desired outcomes.
As a certified BODY CODE & EMOTION CODE practitioner she is amazed at how magnetic energy can be used in lowering stress/pain and releasing trapped emotions. She now offers TODN discounts on sessions as she begins her practice. Next steps are creating her website & business cards.
Her career coaching process was transformed by the Designing Your Life methodology into a collaboration, starting from where you are, and using creativity tools to move you into new ways of approaching gathering ideas and information to design work and life that is well-lived and joyful.
Having done extensive work helping IBM employees of this Fortune 100 company manage their careers within the company, she then enjoyed a diverse private practice. Earlier she had spent 25 years in IBM doing programming and quality assurance.
After completing an MS/OD from The American University/NTL, Washington, DC, she helped found TODN, and is a past president. She is looking forward to her TODN Board role focusing on new members and in-person socials.
Mary Charles is a member of the Rotary Club of Raleigh Midtown. Since joining in 2013, she has been Club President, District 7710 Assistant Governor for 6 Raleigh clubs, and now District RI-Leads Coordinator, matching candidates from Rotary International wanting to join one of 7710's 48 clubs.
She has a passion for creativity and innovation. McBreakthrough, her company’s name includes what she wants most for her clients, a breakthrough in their careers, lives, and health.
She has a BA from Middlebury College in Vermont, taught math & physics in King George High School, King George, Virginia, and attended James Monroe High School in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She is a woman without a state, as she was born in Walter Reed Military Hospital in Washington, DC. As a young child, her family lived up & down the East Coast with her US Army engineer father.
She likes adventuring & travel, especially to Orlando to younger daughter's; reading business & mystery novels; catnannying when older daughter travels for Duke Clinical Research Institute.
